During the Merigar East<\/strong> retreat held on 23 of August 2013, Prof. Ch\u00f6gyal Namkhai Norbu<\/strong>  named our Dzogchen Community Center in Belgrade: Thayasling \u2013 Ling of the Beyond<\/strong>. We are infinitely grateful for such a marvelous name to our Beloved Teacher, who is ever present in our hearts.<\/p>\n

The Dzogchen Community of Serbia<\/strong> was first registered as an association in 1990, re-registered in 2009, and finally our Statute was aligned with the IDC statute in 2016. At present International Dzogchen Community- Thayasling<\/strong> is registered in APR\/ SBRA – The Serbian Business register agency under number 17754220.<\/p>\n

The Community has been active since Ch\u00f6gyal Namkhai Norbu<\/strong>  first came to Belgrade to give the Teachings in 1990.<\/p>\n

It has been over a year since Ch\u00f6gyal Namkhai Norbu<\/strong>  passing (1938-2018) , and we are following His Teachings and celebrating His life filled with dedication and immense compassion for all beings.<\/p>\n

Zeljka Jovanovic<\/strong> (1955-2011) was most meritorious for building the foundations of the Dzogchen Community<\/strong> in Serbia. Many of us have been fortunate to know her and to receive valuable information from her.<\/p>\n

During the period from 1990 to 1997 we organized a Yantra Yoga<\/strong><\/em> course with Oliver Leick<\/strong> and a Vajra Dance<\/strong><\/em> course with Adriana Dal Borgo<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

In 1996 we invited Lama Ngawang<\/strong> , the founder and spiritual leader of the Hungarian Karma Kagy\u00fcpa Community<\/strong>, accompanied by his translator Lama Cs\u00f6pel<\/strong>, to give the Teachings in Belgrade, as recommended by Ch\u00f6gyal Namkhai Norbu<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Zeljka had organized collective practices until 1997, when she and her family moved to France.<\/p>\n

Due to the situation in our country for the following 10 years we used to meet for the collective practices at homes of different practitioners. We are infinitely grateful to our world wide Vajra family<\/strong> of the International Dzogchen Community<\/strong> for a very generous donation in 2000 which helped us maintain our community.<\/p>\n

In 2002 we actively took part in the Peace Vase<\/strong><\/em> project in collaboration with the coordinator of Siddhartha\u2019s Intent organization<\/strong> under the direction of Dzongsar Jamyang Kyentse Rinpoche<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the German Dzogchen Community<\/strong>\u2019s generous donation we had the Santi<\/em> Maha Sangha<\/strong> base level retreat with Jacob Winkler<\/strong> in Belgrade in 2003.<\/p>\n

In 2014 we participated in the project: the Sand Mandala of Avalokiteshvara<\/strong><\/em> for the world peace which was made by Geshe Lobsang Tseten<\/strong> and two monks from Tibetan Drepung Gomang Monastic College<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From 2009 to 2012 we rented different premises for the seminars and the collective practices. In 2012 the practitioners offered their apartment to the Community. The
\napartment was completely refurbished thanks to a very generous donation and it became our first Ling<\/strong> in 2013. We were very happy that we had our own space from
\n2012 to 2017, especially in the apartment where we had gathered for the practices from the very beginning. The Gompa<\/strong> was suitable for collective practices, Yantra yoga<\/strong>,  Khaita<\/strong> and  a guest room was available for personal retreats.<\/p>\n

From 2009 until 2015 we were very fortunate to welcome again our dear Vajra<\/strong> brother and SMS instructor Oliver Leick<\/strong> who held four retreats: Introduction to Dzogchen<\/em> Teachings and Yantra Yoga<\/em><\/strong> in 2009, two SMS base level retreats in 2012 and 2013 and the Green Tara<\/strong><\/em> retreat in 2015.<\/p>\n

Each year from 2011-2014 we were fortunate to welcome our dear Vajra<\/strong> brother and Yantra Yoga<\/strong><\/em> instructor Zsolt Somogyvari<\/strong> for four YY courses.<\/p>\n

Eternal thanks to our dear Oliver Leick<\/strong> and dear Zsolt Somogyvary<\/strong> for their precious time, commitment and perseverance, and for helping us to renew our Community.<\/p>\n

From February 2017 we meet for the collective practices at homes of the practitioners and we rent the premises for the seminars and retreats.<\/p>\n

In October 2018 and February 2019 we have organized two seminars: Vajra Dance that Benefits Beings<\/strong><\/em> and the Yantra Yoga<\/strong><\/em> course with Zoltan Cser<\/strong> , the authorized instructor of the International Dzogchen Community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We are planning for the mid April 2020 the public talk and the closed retreat with the authorized Santi Maha Sangha<\/strong> instructor Steven Landsberg<\/strong>, the President of the International Dzogchen Community<\/strong>. – CANCELLED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thayasling is administratively belonging to Merigar East (Gar – bigger center) in Romania<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
